How we started
Space Lanka Travels began the way a lot of good local businesses do — informally. Our founder was driving backpackers between guesthouses along the south coast and kept getting asked the same question: "can you also plan the rest of our trip?"
That question turned into a small network of trusted drivers, guesthouse owners and guides across the island — the same network we still use today. We're not a franchise of a bigger foreign operator; we're based in Mirissa, and most of our team grew up within an hour of the coastline we now send travellers to explore.

Common questions
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most tours, but we've built full itineraries with three days' notice during quieter months. WhatsApp us your dates and we'll tell you honestly if it's tight.
No — most of our trips are private, with your own driver and vehicle. We can also join you with a small group if you'd prefer to split costs, on select routes.
Yes. Plenty of guests already have flights and a few nights booked and just want the middle stretch — a safari, the train, or the south coast — organised properly.
Bank transfer or card payment link for a deposit to confirm, with the balance settled in cash or card once you arrive. We'll walk you through it over WhatsApp.
